New England Genealogy Resources

This is not an exhaustive or authoritative list of general resources for New England genealogy, but rather those I have found most useful in my research.

If you discover a broken link, please let me know and I will make a correction. Thank you!

Dunham-Wilcox-Trott-Kirk - this website is maintained by the family of Jane Devlin, who invested many years of her time and energy into creating a website full of genealogical information for New England families. It is well worth visiting and appreciating her hard work.

New England's Hidden Histories - find colonial era Congregational Church records that give you more insight into the lives of your ancestors in the digital collections here.

The New England Historic Genealogical Society - the oldest genealogical organization in the U.S. with extensive holdings both in their library and online. For anyone with predominantly New England ancestry, like me, the $89.95 membership is well worth it. They also have records for the rest of the U.S., as well as Canada and many other countries.
